Curriculum Overview

At St Marcelino Academy, we are committed to providing a comprehensive and dynamic learning experience. Our curriculum is based on the UNEB (Uganda National Examinations Board) standards, ensuring that students receive a solid academic foundation. However, we go beyond academics by incorporating a wide range of practical activities aimed at talent identification and development, making learning both engaging and holistic.

What We Offer:

  • Academic Excellence

Our curriculum is structured to meet the UNEB requirements, providing students with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in both national and international examinations.

  • Talent Development through Practical Activities

    • Sports: We offer a variety of sports activities that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline. From football to athletics, our students are encouraged to explore their athletic abilities.
    • Music, Art, and Technology: We nurture creativity and innovation through music, art, and technology programs. Students have access to musical instruments, art materials, and tech tools that allow them to express themselves creatively.
    • Bakery and Cookery: Our hands-on bakery and cookery classes teach essential life skills, with students learning how to prepare meals and bake, fostering independence and creativity in the kitchen.
    • ICT (Information and Communication Technology): In a digital world, ICT skills are crucial. Our students are exposed to modern technology and learn computer literacy, coding, and digital research.
    • Gardening: Through gardening, students gain an understanding of agriculture and sustainability. They learn to plant, nurture, and harvest, developing a love for the environment.
    • Public Speaking: We emphasize the importance of communication skills. Our public speaking sessions build confidence and leadership qualities in students from a young age.
  • Languages

    • In addition to English and local languages, we offer Swahili and French to prepare our students for opportunities beyond Uganda. Mastering multiple languages enhances cognitive skills and opens up future possibilities.
  • Teacher-Parent Mentorship

    • At St Marcelino Academy, each child is assigned to a teacher parent who monitors both their academic progress and overall well-being. This personalized attention ensures that every child’s strengths and areas for growth are recognized and supported.
